 Feliciano López avanza a segunda ronda en el torneo de Memphis
Redacción deportes, 19 feb (EFE).- El español Feliciano López pasó a segunda ronda del torneo de tenis de Memphis (EEUU), al ganar por 4-6, 6-3 y 6-4 al alemán Benjamin Becker. López, único español en el cuadro masculino del torneo, necesitó de casi dos horas para eliminar al alemán en un partido muy igualado en el que López apuntó 92 puntos ganadores por 91 de Becker. Tras caer el primer set del lado alemán, la segunda manga estuvo muy disputada. Los dos jugadores llevaron cada juego al 'break point' y ninguno cedió su servicio hasta el 3-5 de López, que supuso el impulso que necesitaba para apuntarse el set y la tercera y definitiva manga. López se enfrentará en la próxima ronda al vencedor del partido entre el alemán Tommy Haas, sexto favorito, y el ruso Evgeny Donskoy. |

EL LATINO is a weekly Spanish newspaper serving the Hispanic/Latino community in Central Arkansas. EL LATINO was founded in March 2001, with the mission to educate, assist, and inform the Spanish speaking people of Central Arkansas that could not otherwise understand information released only in English. The newspaper covers the economy, labor, education, immigration, sports, local community and social events, and conducts interviews with Hispanic/Latino residents. The EL LATINO Website offers daily local, national and international (focused mainly on Mexico and Latin America) news updated every 15 minutes by the EFE Spanish Language News Agency. EL LATINO also broadcasts in Spanish monthly on the Arkansas Education Television Network (AETN) TV and daily on radio KABF 88.3 FM.
